Summertime…and the Living is Easy

Awww...how sweet! You're back again! Hope you enjoy your visit with the Peapod Squad!

One week of summer break and we’ve already gotten into this new routine of no routine. We’ve chilled out in our own sweat. Yeah, it’s HOT.

We have spent lots of time at the pool so far…soaking up the sun with our best buddy.

We’ve been learning how to cruise around the swimming pool like a pro.

We’ve been waiting our turn for the diving board.

We’ve enjoyed immersing ourselves in giant bubbles in our friends’ backyard.

We’ve started to enjoy the first fruits of our summer veggie garden.

We have tip-toed through lawn sprinklers.

And then we’ve had ice pop breaks with our friend.

We’ve enjoyed the extra time with Dad (and learned how to beat him at tic-tac-toe).

We’ve enjoyed a rainbow or two.

We’ve started Vacation Bible School at church.

And we’ve played so hard, we fall asleep as soon as our beautiful heads hit the pillow.

Yeah, if this first week is any indication…we’re going to have a WONDERFUL summer!

My Heroes

The peapod squad had a fun-filled afternoon playing “heroes” with their buddy who was visiting from next door. We had a police officer, a fire fighter, a good witch and the “person who helps the princess.” Yep, I felt very safe and well-protected by my pint-size rescue team.

Oh and by the way…if you’re ever wanting to borrow the old “person who helps the princess” thing for a Halloween costume, it only requires a pink blanket tied at the waist and a Spider Man mask worn backwards. Easy costume idea. You’re welcome.
