Brotherly Love

I love looking at the fabulous photos over at I Heart Faces. I hide in the shadows and drool over the “real” photographers’ challenge entries.

Gulp.

And just like that, I dove in. I’m entering one of my favorite pictures of Split and Snap. I love the way they’re holding hands with outstretched arms. I love the fact that I accidentally got the depth of focus sort of right. I love how these precious identical-on-the-outside but spectacularly unique-on-the-inside boys are looking at one another.

Oh, and I also love that this week’s challenge theme (red) is to raise awareness of Go Red for Women.

So. Tada! My first entry in an I Heart Faces photo challenge. I know I’m not a “real” photographer. I don’t own a big girl camera. I only kind of know what aperture really means. But…isn’t this just darling?

I’m showing you here because you’re not likely to see it in Better Homes & Gardens or Southern Living. No, this is beyond them. This is the very latest in yard decor. And I just KNOW you’ll be wanting to recreate it in your own front yard, so I tried to get a detailed photo.

Ladies and gentlemen…I give you the flower pot(ty).

Not only is this porcelain vessel perfect for showing off those lovely plastic flowers, but just think how handy this could be for kids playing outside! They wouldn’t have to track dirt on your floor running back and forth to the indoor potties!

A better example of both form and function in lawn ornamentation has ne’er been seen.

And you saw it here, folks. Do I aim to please or what?!?
