Did you know that a group of turkeys is called a rafter? I’ve been calling them a flock. Not that I call them much very often, but you know…when I do. I was recently corrected and now set about spreading my fowl knowledge. You’re welcome.
Anywho…y’all know I’ve got 3 kindergartners. In 3 different kindergarten classes. With 3 different schedules for holiday socials. And all 3 of my kindergartners want Mommy to bring goodies to their respective classes for said socials. For those of you doing the math, that’s a lot of goodies. So I’ve had to lower the bar slightly. I take some shortcuts. GASP! Yeah, I never claimed to be a foodie blogger, so just hush.
I made the cookies for Split Pea’s class today. Turkeys. He said the cookies had to look like turkeys. Okeydokey. Turkey cookies coming right up.
Here’s what I bought. Yep, I used store-bought cookies. Unashamedly.
And look at what these store-bought ingredients became.
So I did no baking, but I’m going to be sending some super cute turkey cookies with my super cute kiddo. And now I can move on to the ridiculously simple pilgrim hat cookies I’ll show you tomorrow!

Oh, those are so gaspingly cute! I was expecting some loving-hands-at-home monstrosities, but those little guys are adorable.
It doesn’t matter that you didn’t bake at all, what matters is that those are the kinds of cookies that kids remember. Years from now, when they are telling their kids about the parties they used to have in school, they will remember the cookies that someone took the time to make adorable. You know how I know this? Because that is what I remember about school parties when I was a kid.
Absolutely brilliant and totally adorable! I now know what my daughter is bringing to her holiday party next week – you are AWESOME!
