It seems like I was just sitting here bawling my eyes out about how empty the house seemed after dropping off my babies for their first day of pre-k. And now? Now they’re done. And they’ve grown so much. They’ve learned exciting and entertaining things. (So have I.)
Oh, the growth I’ve seen! I’m not just talking about their height growth, though they certainly are taller than they were. I’m talking about how my once hesitant, sometimes shy, not-too-sure about spending the day without me babies have blossomed into confident, capable, smart little people who are more than ready to tackle kindergarten next year.
We were blessed with WONDERFUL teachers. Teachers who not only cared about our kids’ learning but who truly loved them. The peapod squad will miss them terribly and…well, I found it tough not to cry at pick-up today because I’m going to miss seeing them every day, too. They became a part of our family this year. I got all sappy tying the ribbons and cards onto the hanging basket plants I took to them today. They really did help our children grow and blossom this year. And I’m so grateful.
Thank you Mrs. H and Mrs. F. We love you.
