Awww...how sweet! You're back again! Hope you enjoy your visit with the Peapod Squad!
Life is short. It's also unfair and impossible to predict. I went to bed worrying about little Maddie because her mother said the doctors hadn't figured out why she was having such respiratory trouble. They were going to have to intubate her and Heather was terrified. I said a prayer and went to bed.
I couldn't sleep.
At all.
I got up an hour or so later to check Heather's blog for any updates. There was one. It was devastating. Maddie had died. A couple of weeks ago, this 17-month-old girl with the most mesmerizing eyes ever was watching duckies at the park. Life makes no sense at all.
Go hug your kids. Be a little kinder. A little gentler. A little more grateful.
In memory of Madeline Alice Spohr (11/11/07-04/07/09)
(edited to add: I removed the link to Heather's blog because her friends are working to have her site restored since the enormous outpouring of visitors today shut it down. Once it's back up and able to handle such a capacity, I'll repost the link. What amazing love this sweet family is being shown today in the wake of their grief. Amen!)

Amen
AMEN! I didn’t know about Maddie until this morning. It’s so sad. I’m off to love on my kiddos and thank God for each one of them. Maddie’s story could of easily been my Xander’s story in Jan. ’06. My heart goes out to this poor family living out my worst nightmare.
Praying & Hugging,
Karen @ Lil Momma’s Haven
How very very sad.
