Awww...how sweet! You're back again! Hope you enjoy your visit with the Peapod Squad!

The Easter baskets are ready. The eggs are dyed. The food is prepared for tomorrow. The new clothes are ironed for church. My toenails are painted a lovely coral.
All is now quiet.
And it is now, as the rest of my family sleeps and I sit in this dimly lit room all alone, that I contemplate the truest significance of the moment.
This week has been underscored by tragedy, by loss, by immense pain for many. But the suffering endured 2000 years ago by a man who loved us more than we can ever comprehend has given us hope. Hope that our suffering here is but temporal. Hope that sweet Maddie is now able to breathe easily and laugh happily. Hope that wars and economic downturns can never defeat us. Hope that ultimately, good wins.
So I pray that I never lose sight of hope. I pray that I, too, rise. Rise to a greater appreciation for what this holiday means, for the chances I am repeatedly given to “get it right.”
Happy Easter.
No bud nor greenness can I see:
Yet rise it shall–the sap of Spring;
O Jesus, rise in me.
