The perfect weekend.

Welcome! I'm so glad you dropped by! Make yourself at HOME. If this is your first visit, you may want to SUBSCRIBE to Peapod Squad Stuff so you don't miss any of the fun. Thanks! Y'all come back now, you hear?

We had a fabulous, albeit busy, weekend. We took the kids out for pizza Friday night after scoring some clearanced costumes (yay for 75% off at Target!) for their dress-up box. We did the girl/boy split on Saturday. My mom and I took Sweet Pea to an awesome arts/crafts show while my dad and hubby took the boys to Bass Pro Shops. So manly, eh? The kids and the grown-ups had a blast. I got some of my Christmas shopping done at the show, and Pop got pictures of Snap and Split posed in a party boat, a speed boat, an ATV and with a very outdoorsy Santa. :-) Those should be fun to scrapbook!

Sunday was my day to volunteer in our church nursery. I got to spend an hour holding the yummiest little babies! Occasionally I find myself having that deep longing for another baby. It's soooo not going to happen, though, so I love that I can get my baby-fix at church once a quarter. After church, my precious hubby got the kids changed into play clothes, fed, entertained and down for a nap by himself (no small feat when they're all wound up from playing with friends at church all morning) so I could go out to lunch with a dear friend with whom I've spent very little time lately. I loved my girl time. I came home to a quiet house and kicked back on the couch with my November issue of Better Homes & Gardens. When everyone woke up, we had some great family playtime outside (i.e. Hubby chased them around while I planted some new fall plants and pulled some weeds). We had a yummy dinner, watched our favorite Wiggles video and put the kids to bed.

Ahhh…it was just what I needed. And here are the goofballs modeling things from their dress-up box.
